OpenVGal
v3.4 · open source engine · own your art

3D galleries.
A permanent URL
for your work.

Build your gallery locally with the open-source engine. When you’re ready to share it, publish a permanent URL hosted by OpenVGal — no server setup, always online.

01 · how it works
step 01

Build it locally

Drop folders of artwork into the open-source builder. Each folder becomes a room. No account, no upload — runs entirely in your browser.

step 02

Preview the exact result

Walk through your gallery in WebGL. What you see locally is what visitors see — same engine, same lighting, same rooms.

step 03

Publish when you're ready

Upload the ZIP, claim a slug, and you have a permanent URL at openvgal.com/view/your-slug. Always online, served globally.

02 · why publish with us

A URL you can put on a business card

openvgal.com/view/your-slug stays live for as long as your subscription is active. Permanent, linkable, indexable — not a Dropbox share.

Zero server, zero ops

We handle hosting, CDN, and TLS. Your only job is to upload a ZIP from the builder. If something breaks, it's our pager that rings.

Same engine, open source forever

We charge for hosting, not for the software. The day you decide to self-host, your gallery still works — the engine is yours.

03 · the open source threshold

Run the whole gallery on your machine. Pay only when you want the world to see it.

The viewer engine is lbartworks/openvgal — MIT-licensed, identical to what we serve. You can self-host forever, or hand publishing to us when sharing matters more than tinkering.
